Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly's mother is Chinese and she was born as a Chinese in Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn is from the American South. Olivia was just two years old when her parents divorced. Her family consisted of her stepfather and mother, both of whom who was an United States Air Force member. The family emigrated to Oklahoma and moved to different locations, however she lived the majority of her childhood in Tokyo. In Japan, she appeared as an actor in local theatre performances, and later became a Japanese fashion model. Olivia moved back to Los Angeles after the family's relocation to America. United States.
